Accreditation Assistant

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Assure PCLI compliance with Medicare and other governing rules and regulations. Provide a variety of administrative support and project management tasks for sites/staff.
 

STATUS                       Full time
ORGANIZATION           Reports to Accreditation Coordinator

SCHEDULE                  Monday – Thursday 8am-5pm & Friday – 8am-1pm

RESPONSIBILITIES – duties will include/but not limited to:

  1.  Be a happy/encouraging assistant & support your PCLI team with enthusiasm.
  2. Support the Governing Body, Site Managers, Corporate Surgery Manager & others
  3. Learn the rules governing Medicare Accreditation & help the sites work within those rules (includes rules from accreditation organizations, NFPA & State)
  4. Provide training for site managers
  5. Keep Accreditation/reference library updated –maintain wiki data base/protocols, complete administrative tasks such as completing initial/renewal applications & assorted information requests
  6. Coordinate with other corporate team members on tasks that touch accreditation
  7. Lead & attend meeting when appropriate
  8.  During surveys/projects:
  • Help Site Managers find policies-procedures in the wiki/answer questions/provide support
  • Help facilitate coordination with other departments to get detailed answers from our in-house experts to surveyors &/or Site Managers
  • Assist in project management tasks – such as reading survey results, assigning tasks, setting deadlines, tracking progress, assembling drafts & producing finals
  • Assist in researching rules and regulations from multiple organizations to aid in revision, development and implementation of policies & procedures
  • Coordinate with the Governing Body, MD Director & Corporate Surgery Manager on items to help determine options for correction.
  • Provide Status Reports to GB
  • Correspond/Coordinate with Department of Health staff/4a staff & other entities

  • Good hearing for telephones
  • good visual acuity for screens, keyboards, forms etc.
  • good mobility & minimal lifting capabilities
  •  ability to work in a small space
  • ability to sit for long periods
